Boston Dinner Gala 2008 Kick off : 5.15.08

On Thursday May 15th, The American Ireland Fund held the kickoff to its annual Boston Gala. This year Mike Sheehan of Hill Holliday hosted the event at the agency's new offices high atop 53 State Street.

AIF Board Directors, Gala Committee members and friends of The American Ireland Fund came to welcome the 2008 Gala Chairman, Jim Connolly, President of Citizens Bank.

Mike Sheehan began the evening by welcoming guests to the new Hill Holliday space and introducing Kingsley Aikins, President & CEO of The Worldwide Ireland Funds. Kingsley spoke to the new direction of The American Ireland Fund, letting guests know that the AIF will be looking to link Irish globally in philanthropic efforts.

The chairman shared with the crowd that the focus of the Gala this year will include support for some local projects in the Boston area.

The evening concluded with guests mingling and taking in the breathtaking views of the city.
