Following on the heels of the Ryder Cup, The Annual American Ireland Fund’s John J. Kennedy Memorial Tournament, was held on September 20, 2004 at the Charles River Country Club in Newton, Massachusetts.

On this beautiful fall day over 100 players came together in support of Children’s Medically Oriented Charities of Ireland. Raising over $100,000 the full field helped mark the 16th year of commitment to the Children’s Bereavement Centre at St.. Francis Hospital, The Bone Marrow-Leukemia Association and the Down Syndrome Association.

The American Ireland Fund would like to thank all who attended and supported the Annual Golf Classic!

Dear Sponsors, Players, and Volunteers;

On behalf of my late father, John J. Kennedy, and our entire family, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for all that you have helped accomplish through your support of our tournament. I have personally visited the condominiums purchased next to St. James Hospital to assist families afflicted with Leukemia, the home in Rush purchased to augment services associated with Down Syndrome, and the Children's Bereavement Center at St. Francis Hospice. Your support has, and continues to make a difference.

Enjoy your day, as we enjoy your company and thoughtful dedication to helping those less fortunate.

Warmest Regards,

Bill Kennedy- AIF Golf Committee
