Nantucket 2002

The American Ireland Fund's Nantucket Celebration 2002 was held August 16 at Innisfree, the residence of Ambassador Elizabeth Frawley Bagley and Mr. Smith Bagley.

More than 250 friends of The American Ireland Fund attended the cocktail party and dinner honoring Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC's 'Hardball'.

This year's event was co-chaired by Martha O'Brien and Bruce Percelay, president of the Greater Boston chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity Northern Ireland received a grant from the fundsraiser.

Over 100 donors stayed on for a private patrons' supper poolside after the extended sunset cocktail party.

Party guests included Sen. John Kerry, Bostonians Lee Bierly and Christopher Drake, who will co-chair next year's Nantucket Celebration, author Frank McCourt, NBC's 'Meet the Press' host, Tim Russert and his wife, journalist Maureen Orth, and 'Access Hollwood's' Pat O'Brien.
