A gracious and splendid evening was had by all at the magnificent
residence of Lee Bierly and Christopher Drake who Co-Chaired
the event in a beautiful location by the sea.
The honored guest was Desmond Fitzgerald, Knight of Glin,
President of The Irish Georgian Society who was presented
with an award recognising his ongoing preservation efforts.
The Nantucket celebration raised over $90,000 this year
in support of the Irish Georgian Society which promotes
the conservation of Irish architecture. Founded in 1958,
the Society aims to encourage an interest in and to promote
the conservation of distinguished examples of architecture
and the allied arts of all periods in Ireland.
