| St. Patrick's Day Celebration
2002
The American Ireland Fund welcomed more than 400 guests
to its annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration on Friday, March
8.
Focusing on developing the next generation of AIF supporters,
the party is a way of introducing newcomers to the work
of The American Ireland Fund.
The Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel was the luxurious venue
and this very successful evening was chaired by John A.
Carroll. Guests were entertained by The Marcelles; a great
live band which ensured that everyone danced the night away.
Proceeds from the evening and the exciting live Auction
went to Springboard, a community-based training organization
located both in Belfast and in Dublin, and also towards
the restoration of the Mayor Patrick Collins statue in Boston.
Mayor Patrick Collins was the first Irish mayor of Boston.
