The successful completion last June of the five year Hope
and History Campaign to raise $100 million has shown what
the organization is capable of when it takes a structured,
focused approach to fundraising, and involves key Directors
and supporters in taking on the challenge of an ambitious
goal.
With the Campaign over the leadership of the AIF are currently
engaged in a 'root and branch' analysis of the organization
which involves asking the hard questions about the mission
and objectives of the Fund, the sources and uses of funds
raised, the goal of building long term sustainability,
and the challenge of
raising unrestricted revenues.
The Executive Committee of The American Ireland Fund,
under the leadership of Kip Condron, has been meeting extensively
over the last six months to discuss these issues and work
to develop a strategy for the next five years.
The objective is to consult extensively with directors,
supporters and staff and report back at the Annual Conference
which will be held in Cork in June 2005.
