Integrated Education
The American Ireland Fund is currently focusing on Educating and Integrating the youth of Northern Ireland.

With less than 6% of Catholic and Protestant children being educated together, we have a rare opportunity to make a concrete contribution to the betterment of society in this troubled area of the world.

The vision is of a Northern Ireland where violent conflict and “peace” walls will be things of the past, a society where tolerance and respect for difference are the norm, where the collective energy, talents and enthusiasm of the people will flourish in a dynamic, knowledge-based economy and where the primacy of education will be accepted by all and accessible to all.

The emphasis of the proceeds from The American Ireland Fund’s 25th Anniversary Boston Gala will be dedicated to promoting integrated education in the North of Ireland.
