Dreamland Theater in Nantucket
The American Ireland Fund wishes to highlight the work of the Nantucket Dreamland Foundation, which is presently working to rebuild the Dreamland Theater in Nantucket to provide the island with a year-round performance, education and community center.

Ambassador Elizabeth Frawley Bagley has been a political activist, both at home and abroad, for over 30 years. She served as U.S. Ambassador to Portugal from 1994 to 1997, as Senior Advisor to Secretary of State Madeleine Albright from 1997 to 2001, as Senate liaison for NATO Enlargement in 1997, and Associate Director of the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on Democracy in 2002 and 2003. Ambassador Bagley was recently appointed to be the Special Representative to the Secretary of State for Global Partnerships. She is also Vice-Chair of the Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy, Chair of the Democratic National Committee’s National Advisory Board, and Chair of the Clinton Library Foundation Board of Trustees, as well as several international boards, including The American Ireland Fund. Ambassador Bagley holds a B.A. cum laude in French and Spanish from Regis College, Weston, MA and a J. D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center. She is married to Smith Bagley, and is the mother of two children, Vaughan age 19 and Conor age 16.
