At the Welcome
Irish Party, poolside at Northwood Club, Tom Codd and his
committee gathered to welcome the Irish back for the 9th
year to Dallas.
This event signals the beginning of what
is now known as the opening putt of the annual four day
golf marathon. The highlight is the ‘Bennett
Party’. This year’s Elvis was bachelor-no-more
Paddy Shanahan.
The hosts, June and Archie Bennett, were
inducted into The Ireland Funds WineGeese Society by
John Tillotson and Tom Codd. To the delight of all, they
signed up on the spot with their close friends, Sarah and
Tommy Gallagher for the October 2007 WineGeese Australia
trip.
