The Irish Cultural Society of San Antonio in conjunction with The American Ireland Fund honored Harry McKillop of Perot Systems and Jean Kelly of the Speedwell Trust Northern Ireland with special presentations which took place at the Institute of Texan Cultures on the UTSA Campus March 20 and at the Navarro House March 18.

A large contingent traveled from Dallas to attend the weekend festivities which included Texas Board members of the AIF John Tillotson and Mike Corboy, The Irish Consul for Texas the Hon. John Kane. Special thanks to Mr. Gene Logan Director of Planning & Programs for the Irish Cultural Society and Ms Jo Ann Andera Director of the Institute of Texan Cultures for all their assistance in making this weekend so special .

We also wish to thank Gretchen and Lance Lahourcade, LouAnn and Mike Corboy and Sylvia and John Tillotson for hosting such wonderful receptions and dinners. Jean Kelly and Harry McKillop felt very feted and the San Antonians learned a lot about the Peace and Reconciliation process in Northern Ireland.

The American Ireland Fund was represented by Dr. Elisabet Bordt and Mrs Netta Blanchard who co-ordinated the weekend with the help of AIF volunteers Gretchen Lahourcade and Sally Hoffman and in conjunction with the various San Antonio Irish societies.
