Welcome to the 6th annual Thomas J. Tierney Irish American Cup Invitational. Each year this event brings another opportunity for us to participate in supporting the work of The American Ireland Fund.

Our focus and beneficiary this year will be the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2003, which will be held for the first time in its history outside the United States in Dublin, Ireland in June. The monies raised in Texas will support the 58 Texan Special Olympians participating in the Games in Ireland. The American Ireland Fund has committed $1 million to this wonderful organization.

I want to recognize the outstanding dedication of this year's committee and the generous support of our sponsors, especially our Title sponsor. I would also like to thank Margaret Larsen, President of Special Olympics Texas, for serving as Honorary Chair of this year's event.
