Tim Dorsey, the high bidder at $35,000 at the Dallas 2005 Tournament golf auction, won the opportunity to experience the best of the best of Irish and Scottish golf. Lahinch, Waterville, Old Head, the K Club, Portmarnock – where hosts Gerry O’Reilly and Johnny Fortune engaged in a friendly foursome competition.

Dinner was hosted by Tommy Gallagher at the K Club with a helicopter provided by Arthur French was the grand finale of their Irish trip before departing for their Scottish sojourn at the Bennett’s highland estate.

From there they played the best of Scotland, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Royal Troon, Turnberry, and finally Loch Lomond as guests of Jack Irvine, former editor of the London Times, golfer, and host extraordinaire. The result – four happy golfers and four dedicated Ireland Funds supporters.
