The McKillop Irish Spirit Award, founded and funded by Ross Perot to honor his friend Harry McKillop, was awarded this year to Sister Pauline Mullen at a Black Tie dinner in Dallas April 29. Sister Pauline of Our Friends Place in Dallas was honored for her lifelong selfless dedication to helping young, at-risk women find their place in society through residential counseling.

Sister Pauline’s entire family came to Dallas from Ireland and New York to celebrate the occasion.  Kingsley Aikins, CEO of The Ireland Funds Worldwide, by special request of Harry McKillop, was the Master of Ceremonies for the weekend celebration, which began with a BBQ at the McKillop residence in McKinney and culminated in a Black Tie dinner at the Westin Galleria Dallas.

Also flying in from Ireland for the occasion to honor Harry and Sister Pauline were Irish developers Mick Bailey, Lee Mallaghan, Terry Browne, Ivor Fitzpatrick, Ged Pierse, Liam O’Hagan, Tony Whitehead, Bryan Roe, Sean McKeon, John Prescott Jr, Kevin Smyth, and Father Simon Sleeman from Glenstal Abbey. AIF Board members and supporters were part of the celebration led by Mike Corboy.
