McGuire’s Irish Initiation

Although descended from the Hereditary Chiefs of Fermanagh, Peter McGuire had never been to the island of his ancestors. This all changed when Lou Ann Corboy and John Tillotson had The American Ireland Fund donate a week in Ireland to be auctioned for a local children’s hospital.

Peter and Ann were the lucky winners and so another native son crossed the Atlantic with his bride and discovered his roots. Thanks to our Irish donors Tommy Gallagher, Mark Nolan, Eamonn Cregan, Brian and John Kennedy, Father Simon Sleeman, Kingsley Aikins, and the Brian Loughney family whose generosity made it all possible.
