A crowd of over 8,500 turned up to support the match
between Ulster and London Irish at Ravenhill, Belfast
at the end of August. All proceeds were in aid of
the Integrated Education Fund (IEF).
There was an international flavour to the occasion
with Kevin Curley, Brendan Higgins and David Saller
from the Dallas chapter of The American Ireland Fund
attending the game.
The match finished 26-33 to London Irish and Baroness
May Blood, Campaign Chair of the Integrated Education
Fund presented Neal Hatley with the IEF "Together"
Trophy. The real winners on the night however, will
be the many parents and children who will benefit
from the support of the IEF which events such as this
make possible.
