Many golfers have said, “If you ever have the opportunity
to play Baltusrol, do not pass it up.” On September
7, 2004, eighty AIF supporters jumped at the chance.
Thanks to the support of Golf Chairman Michael Higgins,
Managing Director of CIBC World Markets, and Gibbons Del
Deo, the AIF raised $100,000 for worthy charities in Ireland.
With plush fairways and lightning-fast greens on Baltusrol’s
remarkable Upper Course, it seemed that there was a signature
hole at every turn. It was an amazing day of golf and
camaraderie; afterwards the fun continued with cocktails
and dinner in the Grill Room.
The American Ireland Fund is grateful to all who attended
and supported the NJ Golf Classic. We hope you will not ‘pass
up’ the opportunity to play Baltusrol next year at
the Third Annual NJ Golf Classic on Sept 15, 2005. The
outing will take place on the Lower Course, which will
host Tiger, Phil and Vijay at 2005 PGA Championship shortly
before in August.
