IF polls -Have your say!

Proceeds of the event to support both Ireland’s and our greatest resource, its young people—the next generation.

With your support, we will equip Ireland’s youth to build a better and more inclusive society, particularly in Northern Ireland where research shows children as young as three years of age displaying sectarian attitudes. That is why The American Ireland Fund is a major backer of the Integrated Education movement since 1980.

Integrated Education
Peace has been achieved in Northern Ireland but the two communities have yet to be reconciled. With less than 6% of Catholic and Protestant children being educated together, there is the danger that the prejudices of the past will be inherited by the next generation. We have a rare opportunity to make a concrete contribution to the betterment of society in this troubled area of the world by supporting major educational initiatives bringing young people together to build a new Northern Ireland based on acceptance and mutual respect.
