The New York Chapter of The WineGeese Society
met and through great company conversation and
conviviality, celebrated the life of Michael
Collins.
Hosted by Irish Consul General HE Tim O’Connor,
the evening consisted of three elements. Mr.
O’Connor made a presentation on the extraordinary
and colorful life of Michael Collins and his
relevance to today’s Ireland. A modern
Wine-Goose, the Wine producer from Sonoma California,
Michael Collins, talked about his life and wine
growing technique after which guests tasted his
award-winning Zinfandel. Abaigeal Hendron, of
the Sidney Frank Importing Co. Inc., described
the new premium Irish whiskey named inevitably,
Michael Collins which was then tasted with a
selection of Irish and French cheeses.
It was a perfect Irish gathering on a stunning
New York summers evening.
