The WineGeese Society enjoyed a New Year’s
toast led by wine educator Ann Marie Delaney
on January 10th. Entitled ‘Champagne and
Crystal,’ the celebration was held amidst
the beautiful surroundings of the Waterford Wedgwood
showroom, where Ms. Delaney, an experienced ‘sabreur,’ delighted
guests by using a ‘saber’ or sword
to open a bottle of champagne. This dramatic
display was appreciated all the more as guests
raised Waterford Crystal glasses in salute to
each other and the New Year ahead.
