Guests of the Gallery Circle
were treated to a delightful and yet thought
provoking evening with celebrated Irish Author,
Edna O’Brien.
Ms. O’Brien, whose
work has received scores of awards, saw her books
banned in the repressed Ireland of the 50’s
and 60’s. She however always reflected
Ireland in her novels and plays and is now a
celebrated Hero at home.
The night was delightful
and utterly memorable. Ms. O’Brien truly
charmed our guests and connected them with their
heritage in a special and profound way. However,
she did so with a lovely warm and light touch
thus allowing people to reflect deeply but in
a relaxed manner. As a result, the atmosphere
was so convivial and nobody was in a rush to
leave.
On behalf of the Fund, host
Loretta Brennan Glucksman thanks Ms. O’Brien
for a very very special evening.
