On the beautiful and crisp fall day of September 22, 2003,
more than 150 golfers descended upon the legendary East
and West courses of Winged Foot for The American Ireland
Fund Golf Classic proudly supporting The Children's Medical
Research Foundation.
The Children's Medical and Research Foundation is the fund-raising
arm of Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, in
Dublin. It is also responsible for funding and administering
the Children's Research Centre, a world-renowned institution
of excellence for research into the cause and treatment
of potentially life-threatening pediatric illness. The Foundation
is proud of its long history of improving medical research
and medical care for children throughout Ireland using both
of these facilities to provide exceptional care for thousands
of sick children and conducting significant research into
the causes of the illnesses affecting them.
The American Ireland Fund is grateful to all who attended
and supported the outing and we hope to see you all next
year!
