AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL’S CLICK LAUNCH
Conceived by Irish Author Roddy Doyle, Ten best-selling, award-winning authors have come together to write the collaborative novel CLICK, an eclectic story of global adventure, to benefit Amnesty International.
CLICK begins with a camera, a few photographs, and a box of seven shells—the inheritance left behind by famed photo-journalist, George “Gee” Keane. Each chapter is written by a different author and each part of the story frames Gee’s incredible life through a different lens spanning settings across the globe and time periods past and future.
Linda Sue Park begins the book by introducing readers to a girl named Maggie, Gee’s granddaughter. Maggie’s story is the “jump” chapter that plants the seeds for each of the following authors. According to the book’s editor Arthur A. Levine, “What developed was an incredibly rich cast of characters taking part in a drama that is by turns dramatic, funny and fantastical”
