Irish Parliamentary Delegation
Visit to the New York Stock Exchange - 4.3.08
Members of the Dáil (Parliament), powerful
Joint Committee on Finance and Public Affairs
of Ireland, visited the New York Stock Exchange
on the morning of Thursday, April 3rd.
During
their time at the NYSE they toured the trading
floor and observed the ringing of the opening
bell. Their visit was hosted by a great friend
of The American Ireland Fund, Noreen Culhane,
Executive Vice President, New York Stock Exchange.
Prior to proceeding to the floor, the Irish
Delegates discussed the development of finance
services in the Unites States, the role of
capital markets and the globalization of financial
services.
Subsequently, they had meetings with
New York Dinner Committee Members and leaders
in their industry:
