An Afternoon with The Chieftains 2004

On Sunday March 14, 2004 Sovereign Bank and The American
Ireland hosted the
3rd Annual ‘An Afternoon with The Chieftains’ at
the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts in Downtown Philadelphia.
After an outstanding performance by Ireland’s Grammy
Award winning artists, AIF guests retired to the breathtaking
Hamilton Rooftop Garden for a reception, which included
an appearance from Paddy Maloney and The Chieftains.
The highlight of the afternoon came when Jim Lynch, President & CEO
of Sovereign Bank Mid Atlantic, presented Dennis & Audrey
Durkin with the AIF Philadelphia Leadership Award. The
Durkins are largely responsible for the incredible network
the AIF has established in Philadelphia and have been invaluable
in making the Philadelphia Golf Classic a success.
Next up for the AIF in Philadelphia is the 3rd Annual
Golf Classic taking place September 20 at the Philadelphia
Cricket Club and The ACE Club. For more information please
