Some seasonal rain did
not dampen the spirits of the 5th Annual AIF Philadephia
St. Patrick's Day celebration as 85 invited guests
were serenaded once again by Paddy Moloney and The
Chieftains at The Kimmel Center for the Arts.
This cherished
event both celebrates Ireland's patron saint and
marks the official kick-off to this year's 5th Annual AIF
Philadelphia Golf Classic, scheduled for Monday, September
18th.
Dennis Durkin, this year's Chairman,
and Ward Fitzgerald, Deputy Chairman, welcomed the
crowd in the Hamilton Garden atop the Kimmel Center
with stunning views of Philadephia. Dennis announced that part
of the proceeds from this year's Golf Classic will be
donated to The 174 Trust in Belfast and to LaSalle Academy,
both of who reach out to those in need in very economically
and socially deprived areas.
We are honored to
support such worthwhile organizations whose missions
so closely reflect the focus and values of The
American Ireland Fund.
