Philadelphia Kickoff Reception 2002
The American Ireland Fund launched its presence in the
'City of Brotherly Love' with a Kickoff Reception hosted
by Philadelphia Police Commissioner and Dublin native John
Timoney, at the National Liberty Museum last November.
Located in Philadelphia's historical district, the National
Liberty Museum is dedicated to humankind's universal quest
for freedom, peace and justice.
Fittingly, John Hume, David Trimble, Senator George Mitchell,
and their contributions to the Irish peace process are conspicuously
highlighted in the museum.

An Afternoon with The Chieftains 2002
Fleet Bank and friends of The American Ireland Fund celebrated
St. Patrick's Day a week early by viewing a March 10 performance
by The Chieftains, at the new Kimmel Center for the Performing
Arts in downtown Philadelphia.
Following the concert, Jim Lynch, CEO of Fleet Pennsylvania
hosted a private reception in the Kimmel Center where guests
met and mingled with Ireland's Grammy Award-winning innovators
of traditional Irish music.
The American Ireland Fund is grateful to Fleet for its
long-time support of the Fund, and for its generous assistance
as we raise our profile in Philadelphia.
