San Diego 2004

The skirl of the bagpipes welcomed guests to the Annual San Diego Gala and Auction held March 20th at the Manchester Grand Hyatt on San Diego Bay.

This year's event was dedicated to the memory of Bob McNamara, a past Gala Chairman and long time supporter of The American Ireland Fund. Titled "Bright Lights, Big City", the gala paid tribute to some of San Diego's brightest lights.

Judge Jerry Lewis received The Heritage Award, and San Diego's Tony Award-winning Jack O'Brien, received the first Robert A. McNamara Literary & Arts Award.

A special musical tribute, "A Broadway Salute to San Diego's Bright Lights", produced and directed by Rob Appel, honored the award winners and the Gala's principal sponsors, John & Rebecca Moores. As always, when the clock struck twelve, many of the guests continued on to the after party for a sing along with "The In Case Trio." This year members of the band "Rockola" joined the party for a trip down memory lane with Crosby, Stills & Nash
