On Friday March 9th, The San Francisco American Ireland Fund Dinner was held at The St. Francis Hotel.

Guest of Honor, Chevron CEO Dave O'Reilly, received the AIF Distinguished Leadership Award, to the cheers of over 500 dinner guests. The Ireland Funds CEO, Kingsley Aikins and Dinner Chair/Board Director Craig Sullivan welcomed the crowd to this spectacular evening and the proceedings were tied together by sparkling presenter, Meagan Levitan.

Special guests included former Secretary of State, George Schultz and his wife Charlotte, San Francisco Chief of Protocol, Irish Consul-General Emer Deane, British Consul-General Martin Uden, California Attorney General Jerry Brown, Mayor Gavin Newsom, San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes, San Francisco Board Directors Jon Folan, Bart Murphy, Pauline Ryan, Bill Walsh, Regional Director Marjorie Muldowney, Auctioneer Patrick Meade of Bonhams & Butterfields and Heineken European champions Anthony Foley and Alan Quinlan of the Munster Rugby team with coach Declan Kidney.

Several friends of the Fund flew in from Los Angeles, including Peter Culhane & Adrienne Fontanella, Ted Leary and Jimmy & Anne Murphy. A dedicated group of Dinner Committee members were out in force including Tara Arnold, John Hartnett, Gaby Jackson, Tim Lucey, Nola Masterson, Brian Mullins, Greg Murphy, Janet Reilly, Kathleen Ryan, Mary Toboni, and Helen Wilmot.
