The Irish America magazine Business 100 lunch, honoring the 25 west coast honorees, was held in San Francisco. This annual event at the St. Francis Hotel is jointly sponsored by The American Ireland Fund. Some of the Fund's greatest supporters were honored including Bill Walsh of Sequoia Associates, Jon Folan of Bear Stearns, Brian Burns of BF Enterprises and John Ryan of Macrovision. Also honored were Phil Marineau of Levi-Strauss Inc. and David O'Reilly of ChevronTexaco.

Regional Director, Marjorie Muldowney introduced keynote speaker Bill Walsh of Sequoia Associates, an American Ireland Fund Board Member. Bill Walsh did a terrific job as keynote speaker and received a special presentation. Bill's talk was entitled "You Can't Take It With You" and reminded everyone that "...there ain't no roof rack on the hearse!"
