Sydney Supporters Lunch

The annual Australian
Ireland Fund Sydney Supporters Lunch was held
on Tuesday 28 August and was kindly hosted
by Mr. Steven Bosiljevac of PricewaterhouseCoopers
at the PricewaterhouseCoopers Headquarters
on Sussex Street, Sydney, overlooking the Harbour.

The lunch
was attended by over 40 people and was an opportunity
for our Chairman Charles Curran AC to thank
all our supporters, on behalf of the Australian
Ireland Fund, for their hard work and continued
support over the past 12 months and to highlight
the need for their continued support in the
year to come. In attendance was Irish Consul
General Mr. Patrick Scullion, Chairman of the
Lansdowne Club, Peter Brennan and many distinguished
guests.
Life Governor Cameron O’Reilly thanked
our very important Governors who donate $10,000
a year for 5 years to become Life Governors:
Those present on the day were Peter Cosgrove,
Frank Curran, Pierce Cody; Craig McIntosh.
Our
Governors receive a specially commissioned suite
of Waterford Crystal called the Governor Suite
and Cameron made a presentation to the following
Governors:
Dympna Matthews; Kim Maloney; Jack
O’Mahony;
Ron Porter and Briege Tuite
Cameron also thanked our other sponsors Tourism

other sponsors who could not be with us today.
Also present on the day were Benefactors Michael

Will Creedon, Tom Moore, Teresa Keating, Patrick
Lynam and John Warde.
The event also provided an opportunity to inform
our supporters of all upcoming events and fundraisers
including our annual Sydney Garden Party on Sunday
28 October which will again take place at the
beautiful harbourside home of Lady Mary Fairfax
AC OBE – the theme being “Treasure
Ireland”.
