10th Annual John Dunne Golf Classic : 7.6. 2006

The 10th Annual John Dunne Golf Classic was held on July 6th at the challenging Angus Glen Golf Club with perfect golfing weather making it a great day for all our wonderful golfers. Our Pillar Sponsors were Guinness Canada and Waterford Wedgewood and our Gold Sponsors were Ballantry Homes and Murphy's Food Sales and Marketing.

The 18th Hole Ball Drop sponsored by Canadian Helicopters, Zoom Airlines and Athletes Video thrilled the golfers as they watched the 150 numbered golf balls drop from a hovering helicopter with the ball closest to the pin winning 2 tickets to Belfast. Congratulations to Philip Armstrong whose golf ball was closest to the pin.

Rob Faulds, SportsNet was our charming Master of Ceremonies and this year's beautiful Toronto Rose, Jenna-Lee Creelman was our special guest assisting golfers in the Putting Contest. We wish Jenna-Lee the very best at the Rose of Tralee in August. We are very grateful to Peter Murphy, Chair of the Golf Committee for being at the helm of this year's event in which we were able to extend over and above our accustomed funds raised at this event.
