It was an enchanted evening at the Granite Club
for all of the guests of the 24th Annual Emerald
Ball. The celebrities and dignitaries celebrated
The Ireland Fund of Canada’s commitment to
peace and reconciliation, and the community of those
who want to preserve Irish heritage in Canada and
Ireland.
Ambassador Declan Kelly & Mrs. Anne Kelly, British
Consulat General Nicholas Armour, Toronto Police Chief
William Blair & Mrs. Susan Blair, Honourary Chair
of the Winegeese Society Ted Murphy & Mrs. Garry
Murphy, City TV Anchor Gord Martineau & Mrs. Sharon
Martineau and John McDermott added elegance to the evening.
We were honoured to be captivated by the wonderful voice
of John McDermott when he did an impromptu performance
of “Danny Boy”.
Once again this year, Gord Martineau did a wonderful
job as Master of Ceremonies. He also lead an exciting
and fast paced Live Auction which had winning bids on

Heartfelt gratitude to Linda Armstrong, Chair Emerald
Ball Committee, who inspired and lead a hard working
Committee to bring an enchanted Emerald Ball to life
and to all of the guests who attended.
