The 11th Annual John Dunne Golf Classic was held on July 5th on the North Course of the Angus Glen Golf Club with perfect golfing weather to ensure a great day for all. Our golfers had the challenge of golfing on the same course as the 2007 Canadian Open which took place just a short few weeks later.

The 18th Hole Ball Drop sponsored by Canadian Helicopters, BMW Toronto and Athletes Video thrilled the golfers as they watched the 157 numbered golf balls that they had purchased drop from a hovering helicopter with the ball closest to the pin winning a one week lease on a BMW Z4. Congratulations to Mr Rutledge whose numbered golf ball was closest to the pin.

Rob Faulds, SportsNet was our wonderful and charming Master of Ceremonies once again this year to the delight of all. Our Golfers enjoyed having our day and evening in a beautiful Marquee tent with entertainment provided by the fabulous duo Trip Doubt who even took their talents on the road out on the golf course in a golf cart!

We are very grateful to Peter Murphy, Chair of the Golf Committee for being at the helm at this year’s John Dunne Golf Classic in which we were able to extend over and above our accustomed funds raised at this event.
