The Ballroom at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa shimmered and sparkled as the Ireland Fund of Canada presented its 18th Annual Ottawa Emerald Ball, commemorating 18 years of extraordinary evenings celebrating Irish culture and raising funds for Irish charities.

We were honoured to have Ambassador of Ireland to Canada Declan Kelly, British High Commissioner Anthony Cary, Ottawa Mayor Larry O’Brien and the talented Michael O’Byrne, CTV News at Noon Anchor, who was our wonderful Master of Ceremonies.

During the Cocktail Reception guests were entertained by characters from the Bytown Museum Theatre Players as lovely models wandered the room in gowns by various designers sponsored by The Bay. While our guests enjoyed their dinner they were treated to lovely violin music performed by Brenna Hardy-Kavanagh.

The evening ended with our guests dancing the night away to the great sounds of the Frank Lindo Soul Revue.

The Ireland Fund of Canada would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to Ottawa Chapter Chair Patrick Murray, Co-Chairs Patrick Dion and Jane Daly and all Committee members for their dedication and time which resulted in a successful event.
