  • Digital File Formats For 4/c Ads:
    QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
    Adobe Photoshop files must be, 300dpi , Cmyk, Tiff or Eps, Max Density not to exceed 280%.
  • Do not save files with LZW compression.
  • Adobe Illustrator files must be saved with fonts included or text changed to outlines.
  • PDF’s @ 300 dpi at 100% with fonts embedded

 Proofs:

  • All ads are to be supplied with a composite color proofs such as Kodak Approval. Proofs should adhere to SWOP specifications

 Additional Information

  • Colour: Four–colour process.
  • Density of Tone: For four-colour ads, the sum of percentage tone value should not exceed 285% with no more than one colour printing solid. Tone density greater than 92% may fill in on press.  
  • Unless premium position has been guaranteed, ads should be designed to work as right hand or left hand pages.
  • Material must be received by closing date Thursday 1st November 2007 and is subject to production charges for corrections or revisions. Not responsible for reproduction if materials are received after published closing date.
  • Advertiser and agency take responsibility for all contents of advertising material, as well as any claims against publisher that might arise.
  • The publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement at any time for any reason.
  • Invoices are rendered when the magazine goes into distribution and are due within 30 days from date of invoice. The Publisher reserves the right to change rates at any time.
  • Cancellation Deadline: 45 days prior to publication

Connect Magazine is printed on Appleton Utopia 2 Gloss Text and Cover which are FSC certified papers. FSC certified papers are tracked from forest to final product. The FSC label is a guarantee that the paper has come from a responsibly managed forest, a verified recycled source, or other controlled forest friendly sources.

The FSC's mission is to promote the environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests through standards development and certification. The FSC standard promotes the protection of waterways, wildlife habitat and species, preservation of high conservation value forests, annual monitoring of forest management practices and the respect of the rights of Indigenous Peoples.
