En souvenir de Tadhg OSullivan
La médiathèque
de lAlliance Française de Dublin, restaurée
et équipée grâce à une
subvention de lIreland Fund de France, porte
depuis le 24 septembre 2002 le nom de Tadhg OSullivan
qui nous a quitté prématurément
en mars 1999.
Linauguration de la plaque
en présence de Mme Brid OSullivan, de
M. Pierre Joannon, Président de lIreland
Fund de France et de nombreux représentants
du corps diplomatique et amis des Ireland Funds, fournit
loccasion à S.E. M. Gabriel de Bellescize,
Ambassadeur de France en Irlande, de rappeler les
brillants états de service de Tadhg OSullivan
qui fut Ambassadeur dIrlande à Washington,
Moscou et Paris avant dassurer les charges de
Président de lAlliance Française
et de Vice-Président de lIreland Fund
de France.

In fond memory of Tadhg OSullivan
Ambassador Tadhg OSullivan,
who passed away in March 1999, was remembered on 24th
September 2002 by the dedication at the Alliance Française
in Dublin of a library in his name partly funded by
a grant of the Ireland Fund of France.
The ceremony was performed by
the French Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Gabriel de
Bellescize, and was attended by Mrs Brid OSullivan,
Chairman of the Ireland Fund of France Pierre Joannon
and many members of the diplomatic corps and of the
Ireland Funds in France and Ireland. Throughout a
distinguished career with the Irish diplomatic service,
Tadhg served as Irish ambassador to many nations,
including the United States, Russia and of course
France. After his retirement, he continued to be very
active as President of the Alliance Française
and vice-chairman of the Ireland Fund of France.
