Les subventions distribuées par l'Ireland Fund de France proviennent exclusivement des fonds collectés à son dîner de gala annuel, organisé tantôt à Dublin. A cette prestigieuse occasion, l'Ireland Fund de France honore une personnalité ayant contribué de manière significative à illustrer les valeurs don't il se réclame.

Au fil des ans, ses invités d'honneur, recipiendaires du Trophée des Oies Sauvages, ont été:

• Mary Robinson, Président d'Irlande, en 1994.
• John Hume, député à Westminster et à Strasbourg, Prix Nobel de la Paix, en 1995.
• Le Dr Michael Smurfit, président du Groupe Jefferson Smurfit qui emploie 6500 personnes en France, en 1996.
• Le pianiste de renommée internationale John O'Conor, en 1997.
• Michel Déon de l'Académie Française, dont les romans ont puissamment aidé à faire connaître l'Irlande en France, en 1998.
• Seamus Mallon, Vice-premier ministre d'Irlande du Nord en 1999.
• Patrick Ricard, président du Groupe Pernod-Ricard dont fait partie la société Irish Distillers, en 2000.
• Le metteur en scène Neil Jordan, réalisateur talentueux de "The Crying Game", "Michael Collins" (Lion d'Or du Meilleur Film à la Mostra de Venice 1996), et "The End of The Affair" en 2001.

Grants given by The Ireland Fund of France for peace, culture and charity, are made possible entirely through the monies raised at its annual gala dinner, held alternately in Paris and Dublin.

On this prestigious occasion, The Ireland Fund of France honors a guest who embodies the values to which it is dedicated. Over the years, the Wild Geese Trophy has been awarded to :

• 1994  Mary Robinson, President of Ireland.
• 1995  John Hume, MP, MEP, Nobel Peace Prize.
• 1996  Dr. Michael Smurfit, Chairman of the Jefferson Smurfit Group with employs 6500 people in France.
• 1997  The Irish pianist of international fame John O'Connor.
• 1998  The French writer Michél Déon of the Académie Française who has written several novels on Ireland where he resides permanently.
• 1999  Seamus Mallon, Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland.
• 2000  Patrick Ricard, Chairman of the Pernod-Ricard Group which owns Irish Distillers.
• 2001  Film director Neil Jordan, who has directed some unforgettable films such as "The Crying Game", "Michael Collins", (Best Film Award at the Venice Mostra 1996) and "The End of the Affair".
