BLACK TIE & DIAMONDS WINTER BALL
The Hotel Inter-Continental, Park Lane, London
The Ireland Fund of Great Britain’s ‘Black
Tie & Diamonds’ Winter Ball is fast becoming
a firm favourite in the annual calendar of our supporters
from both London and Dublin. Those who were lucky enough
to get tickets knew they were getting one of the hottest
tickets in town during the Christmas party season.
Peter Sutherland, Chairman of The Ireland Fund of
GB addressed the five hundred strong gathering, urging
them to support The Funds important work amongst
the
large and needy Irish community in Britain. He gave
the example of The London Irish Women’s Centre,
which will help London based Irish women to give
their children a better Christmas by helping them
to find
safe and secure accommodation, and ensuring that
they have some food and small gifts for their children
on
Christmas Day. The committee would like to thank Laurent Perrier
and Guinness, Irish Farmhouse Cheeses, Butlers Irish
Chocolates, and all those who donated to the Auction
and the Grand Draw, particularly Chateau de la Ligne,
