Supporters travelled from Warwick and Leicester, London, Jersey and Dublin to celebrate the eleventh Autumn Ball on October 7th at the Renaissance Solihull Hotel.

This year, as every year, the success of the evening was down to the hard work and enthusiasm of committee members Tom and Sarah Gallagher and Michael and Freddie Linnett.

We would also like to thank Tony and Rita Gallagher for sponsoring the champagne reception. The champagne theme continued throughout the evening with the ever popular and fiercely contested “Champagne Challenge Quiz” which has now become an essential part of the evening.

Blackberrys and mobile phones were much in evidence around the room, as guests desperately searched for answers to the quiz questions. In the end – and in spite of a threatened stewards enquiry - Sarah Holmes and Paddy Shanahan led their team to victory.

Funds raised on the night support a wide range of charitable projects in the UK and Ireland. One of the many projects that benefited was icap West Midlands (Immigrant Counselling & Psychotherapy), which provides health services to the Irish community in the local area.
