The Annual Luncheon 2001
The Ireland Fund of Great Britain's Annual Luncheon
has long been one of the highest profile events on
the London calendar and last November's luncheon was
no exception.
Rock star, campaigner and entrepreneur Sir Bob Geldof
spoke with great passion about the third world and
was followed by David Trimble who arrived to a standing
ovation, fresh from his re-election as First Minister
of the Northern Ireland Assembly in Belfast.
As ever, The IFGB is much indebted to the Chairman
of the Luncheon Committee, Mr George Magan, who has
made a great success of this event for the past nine
years.
