The Ireland Fund
of Great Britain held it’s
annual golf tournament at St Georges Hill Golf
Club, Surrey on October 18th 2007. The
event was chaired by Ruairi Conneely who once
again created a popular and successful event. We
would also like to thank our loyal sponsors;
Anglo Irish Bank and Ballymore Properties.
We congratulate
Tom Gallagher who claimed the trophy – with
a little help from his son Nick and regular
golf partners Mick Donovan and Roger Hamilton
Brown.
After golf, rugby
was the hot topic of the day given the imminent
Rugby World Cup final and we were delighted
to welcome Connor O’Shea
as after dinner speaker. Connor played rugby
for Ireland and is now Director of the English
Rugby Football Union Academy.
