10th Oct 2003 : The Autumn Ball : Birmingham

The Ireland Fund of Great Britain's Autumn Ball is always one of the most entertaining events in our social diary. The evening kicked off with a champagne reception sponsored by JJ Gallagher.

Peter Sutherland, Chairman of The Ireland Fund of Great Britain and Guest of Honour for the night, welcomed guests with an unexpected insight into Birmingham culture.

The quiz once again brought out the competitive spirit of the guests and a few mobile phones were confiscated from those seeking outside help! Once the band started there was no keeping people off the dance floor where they happily danced the night away. We shall not divulge the names of those who lead the rousing chorus in the bar after the event!

Our thanks must go to the organising committee of Tom and Sarah Gallagher, Michael and Freddie Linnett whose hard work and enthusiasm put the fun into this event.
