In addition to his role as a Trustee of The Ireland Fund of Great Britain, Seamus is also a member of Díon - the advisory committee to the Irish Government on the Irish community in Britain. He also served on the board of the London based SafeStart Foundation between 1992 and 1998 and has served two terms as chairman of The Federation of Irish Societies in Britain.

The Grant Round

The Ireland Fund of Great Britain is dedicated to raising funds to support programmes of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education and community development in Ireland and the United Kingdom

Projects based in the Republic of Ireland are supported by The IFGB through restricted donations and these amounted to over half a million pounds in 2004 alone.

The average grant that was distributed as part of our grant round was approximately £3,500 and we have been able to assist over 60 projects.

Our Grant Round is only made possible by the generous donations received by IFGB supporters and through the fundraising events that are held throughout the year.
