Irish Art Sale @ Sotheby’s : Dublin : 27.4.06

The Directors of The Ireland Funds in association with Sotheby’s hosted a reception in Sotheby’s Dublin on Thursday 27 April, whereby highlights selected from Sotheby’s forthcoming Irish sale in London were displayed. Grant Ford, Senior Director and Head of Department in Sotheby’s gave a brief lecture on the works on display, highlighting their history and the significance.

US Ambassador to Ireland, James Kenny, David McRedmond, Kingsley Aikins and Hugo MacNeill were amongst the attendees present.

Art displayed on the evening included works by Jack B. Yeats, Louis Le Brocquy, John Lavery, Roderic O’Connor and Sir William Orpen. The Irish Sale will take place on Thursday 11th May at 2pm in Sotheby’s, New Bond Street, London. For further information, contact Grant Ford Tel: 44 20 7293 5497
