As the ultimate symbol of elegance,
beauty and nobility, whether the king of racing or
a cherished wooden toy, the figure of a horse transcends
time and cultures. Horse, a photographic exhibition
presented by the house of Hermes and featuring the
emotive images of Koto Bolofo, was launched in 15,
St Stephens Green on Thursday 14th September 2006.
Lending from the theme, the magnificent
Georgian rooms were decked out with bales of straw
and decorated with beautiful Hermes cushions, which
added a splash of colour to the proceedings. Charles
Henri Leroy, MD of Hermes for the UK and Ireland
welcomed guests who included designers Louise Kennedy
and Peter O’Brien,
Albert and Kathleen Reynolds, Paul & Lisa Fitzpatrick
and architect Feilim Dunne.
A special guest at the
event was Ireland Funds Board Member Hugo McNeill
who addressed the gathering and thanked Hermes
for selecting The Pegasus Centre of Riding Therapy
as its charity of choice for the evening.
The Pegasus
Centre, an Ireland Funds supported
project based
in Sligo, was established in 2002 and is committed
to offering the proven benefits of therapeutic
riding to children and adults with special needs
or a disability.
