| Emerald Ball held at
the Westin Hotel Tokyo on Friday, March 8, 2002
The 2002 Emerald Ball once again provided an arena
for Japanese/Irish cultural and artistic exchange.
A highlight of the evening was an original painting
donated by Irish Artist Fitzgerald.
Traditional Japanese as well as Irish traditional
music and dance were the order of the evening. The
Big Band entertained the guests after dinner and for
those with energy to burn, the rock band
Yer Mot's a Dog kept them on the floor till the wee
hours.
Past performers include Phil Coulter and Paul Brady
as well as members of the Riverdance troupe.
