Nigel McKenna of Melview Developments has become Chairman of The Ireland Fund of New Zealand Trust. Nigel succeeds Mr John Maasland, who was Chairman of the Trust for eleven years and who will continue as a Trustee.

Nigel’s origins are in Longford and he arrived in New Zealand in the late 1980s, where he has enjoyed an exceptional career in property development.

Nigel is based in Auckland and is the founder, sole shareholder and Managing Director of the Melview Group of Companies which has become New Zealand’s largest private property development company.

Nigel’s experience of building and progressing successful companies in New Zealand lends itself well to the chairmanship of The Ireland Fund of New Zealand Trust which is dedicated to enhancing cultural and charitable links between Ireland and New Zealand specifically in the areas of community development, education, arts and culture.
