Terry Carboon 1943 - 2003

The Ireland Fund of New Zealand extends its condolences to the family of Terry Carboon, Ambassador for Special Olympics New Zealand.

Terry passed away in March having devoted twenty years of his life devoted to Special Olympics.

He was instrumental in raising much needed funds so that New Zealand's Special Olympians could travel to Dublin for the World Summer Games this year. In particular, he was central to the success of Galfcuig.

He worked tirelessly to promote the event while his energy and enthusiasm infected all those at the Ireland Fund that had the privilege of working with him.

Terry is survived by his wife, Liz, and daughters Emma-Kate and Bonnie.
