Patricia O'Connor Gorman Fund

In 1998 Ken Gorman settled on a uniquely thoughtful way to commemorate the life of his recently departed wife. With an initial gift of $250,000, Ken established the Patricia O'Connor Gorman Fund to benefit worthwhile projects in Counties Derry and Tipperary, the home counties of Patricia's parents.

This year Ken found another creative way to help those in need in Ireland. In May, Ken increased his "Hope & History Campaign" gift to $1,000,000 through a life insurance policy naming The American Ireland Fund as the beneficiary.

Our thanks go to Ken for finding new and tremendously generous ways to include The AIF in his philanthropic pursuits.

John and Constance Curran Fund

John and Connie Curran founded their Family Fund in 1999. Since then, their contributions have grown from $25,000 to $250,000.

During this year's annual June Conference singsong celebration held at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, John and Connie announced their decision to increase their campaign gift to $500,000!

These funds will be used to support integrated education efforts in Northern Ireland as well projects in John's ancestral county of Cavan. The Curran's' next goal is to attend every World-Wide Ireland Funds event in a calendar year!

We deeply appreciate the Curran's commitment to The American Ireland Fund, and look forward to seeing them both at all those events!

Charles P. Reagan Fund

An enthusiastic golfer, Connecticut's Chuck Reagan attended the 2000 June Conference as part of a golfing excursion with his Cleveland-based brother, Michael.

In addition to playing some of Ireland's finest and internationally renowned courses, Chuck was deeply moved during our visit to the Hazelwood Integrated School in Belfast.

A year later, at our annual Nantucket Celebration, Chuck cemented his growing interest in integrated education in Northern Ireland by establishing the Charles P. Reagan Fund with a $100,000 gift. Chuck returned to Ireland in September for another well-deserved golfing expedition, where he "linked" up with Ireland Funds' Director Larry Powell.

We are sincerely grateful for Chuck's generous commitment.
