An art museum and library that houses an outstanding collection of Islamic manuscripts as well as Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and other Oriental art. Funding allows the library to record up to 5,000 one-of-a-kind digital images, transparencies, and prints.

“Our goals are to make the library’s magnificent collections available for the use and enjoyment of the public; to promote a wider appreciation and understanding of international cultural heritage; and to foster relations between the people of Ireland and the peoples whose cultures are represented in the collections. The support of The American Ireland Fund will help us to optimise the benefit of the Chester Beatty gift to Ireland and the world.”
